I have just started to have a look at what I have captured.

Cheers Petra

Hi Paul

Needed to set up early - observation/imaging point is not ideal so needed to prepare.

Just checking through the AVI's - chewed up lot of computer space

Were able to observe the re-appearance which was very cool!
Wasn't able to split Antares, due to prevailing conditions. But
the event was pretty much how JJJnettie discribed it. The light
of the companion came into view first then Blam it changed to
the usual telescopic view of Antares

btw Great shot JJJnettie

Missed the disappearance due to cloud.

regards,CS

Last minute change of plans here so I wasn't able get a go at it at all. Congrats to everyone who got a glimpse. Better luck for me later in the year or next year.

Sniff, sniff, I missed it. I didn't even know it was happening.

I went out to empty the bin and glanced up at the moon and spotted Antares next to it. I thought "Wow that looks very close to the moon". I ran inside and fired up CdC and saw I had missed Antares reappearing by 5 minutes. Oh well, better luck next time.

I was clouded out in The Blue Mountains but to console those who missed the event, here is a movie I recorded in 2006.
