jjjnettie,

I'll second Alex on that. You would be more than welcome to any of the
observing sessions down with us. There is room at any of the places
ie: Coombell, Tabulum or Casino to park your tent. At my place you can
have your own room, if you dont mind a billion kids toy's lol. It would be
most lovely to see you.

regards,CS

We're looking good here for this weekend at Alex weather permitting,
transport is sorted.

What time Friday are you heading out to Alex's place Glen. Was thinking
we just follow you. I'll be picking Jake up about 2:45pm Friday in Casino.

Regards,CS

You are all most generous.
Alex, I have pans and sieves, picks and shovels, along with a love of fossicking.
I'll see what I can organise for next month.

know what the contractors burried there

Glen, either night or both is good for me and Jake. We're free men

Richmond Valley Power Station

The proposed Richmond Valley Power Station could cause problems for us.
It will be about 1 km south of Casino airport. (lat -28.896, long 153.066)
They are drilling for gas about 5 km from here and had two very bright lights on at 4am this morning. I will write to the council about it today.

Friday night might be cloudy, so I will stay home.
Rob I suggest we meet at the railway crossing on the Bruxner Hwy in Casino on Saturday at 2:30pm. That is on the road to Tenterfield.
Is that OK with you Rob?
Alex is Sat night OK with you?

Wow! Casino getting a power station!! I think it's lights will be too far away
to bother us ouyt here in Coombell, it will just melt into the rest of Casino's
light dome. Which as you know is mostly hidhen by trees anyway.

The meeting spot sounds ok with me. Still I would like to head out there
Friday weather permitting. Does Alex have a map to his place? posted
anywhere.

Alex! are you about? and will you be there Friday?

Regards,CS

Any time is OK with me ..if I am ever not there the fella who will be is Gordon.. he is expecting you anytime you arrive...
I am in Tabby at the moment but will be going back up home early in the morning.. Friday morning.

When you arrive the dogs will jump up.. they wont bite and are just excited.. to stop getting the car scratched stop and open the doors...they will stick their heads in but wont jump on the paint work if you have the doors open.

I will round them up but is if I miss them and so you know how to talk to them...

Bundy is the big one.. to get them to move away from you say "outside" ... it means to them get out of my space... 3 times they should leave your space.

Had a go last night and it was very wet .... but clearer than I have had for a while.

It could be clear the way its going. I hope I hope I hope

Rob its 986 Buldog Rd ... the shack is 9.86 klms from the start of Buldog road (left side) so set your tripo meter thingy (that is a must do).. but I will get a sign board up there on the road assuming I best you there in the morning. There is an old caravan inside the gate on the left and a small dam down from that ... if there are heaps of old cars you are in the wrong place that will be the neighbours place furhter down.
alex

Stick to the right down the drive the left is washed out. It looks as though you are lost but the shack will be about 200 metres down the drive.

The sky is clear all the way up to the absolute cloud cover except for the fog rising off hill tops. So it is looking good.
I wont be up until 3-00pm
It was clear last night the times I looked but there was a lot of moisture here on the river flats.

Thanks Alex, great hospitality and excellent viewing for two nights.
The 450m elevation and NO lights really helps.

item at school today. Just wish I could of stayed longer, maybe next time

The next observing night will be at my place on 15/6 and 16/6.
All are welcome, there is plenty of room for tents.
Unfortunately William can't make it.
