I know what you mean the bird thing I had to rationalise the way I did because one cant believe there was any posibility of insite as the offer explanations would be beyond me and could only point to maybe we are only a computer game
I think it is interesting what you see sometimes in dreams that dont seem to exist in this world but somehow you can never remember one of those to describe it in this world.
Maybe dreams are a mental world wide net no a Universe wide net ...
I reckon we can build a cult already .
How does that saying go...If you can dream but not make dreams your master... I cant remember where but I think it was R.Kippling ..anyways ended with....you will be a man my Son...

I find the fact that we can run movies in our brains unbelievable really, we just take it for granted...maybe other species do it ..I see the dogs dreaming and I think a cat does..well there must be a few animals that dream I guess. . A horse must dream ..I now wonder what?? mmm

Just the power to visualise while awake is so neat .
We marvel at the computer before us but give little regard to how well our minds can visualise..maybe not but we should appreciate it.

Hi All,
I had a dream when i was 17 and the same dream kept on reccurring.
Goes like this.
Went for a small trip to Innisfail (bout an hour away) to see friends that race greyhounds. The mates i went with decided to go down town that night. When walking home we were about 300mtrs from a bridge and i just stopped, frozen. When i turned and looked behind me, here comes a little car with only his parking lights on. Before he even reached us i was running toward the bridge and sure enough just like the dream he went straight over the edge. Just as well i used to do a lot of fishing then cause i had to cut a seatbelt with pocket knife to free him.The car was completely submerged in a crocodile infested creek (Bamboo ck.) He survived. What wasn't in the dream was the fact that $9000.00 was in a large envelope in the car.Apparently a payout from one of the sugar mills. Anyway it floated out and downstream and we got accused of stealing it.
Someone found it 2miles downstream washed up on a sand bank and handed it in. Eventually i was given $50 for saving his life.
Turns out that 2 of the other blokes with me had the same dream. The only thing missing was the ending.
I cannot and don't even want to try to rationalize this. It is beyond my capabilities.
Cheers,
Duncan

Alex, to me dreams are powerful stuff. I mean that in all seriousness.

My dreams are always in colour, always include tactile senses (smell, touch etc.) but (at least in a general sense) are tied to my present or past experiences. That's not to say that I don't have dreams different to that, as I do, but most are prosaic interpretations of something or other.

I used to work for a bank, in fact I worked in that institution for in excess of 25 years. My dreams are often based on me still working for that organisation but, oddly, working for nothing. I'm an altruistic bloke at heart doncha know?.

Over the years a particular manager under whom I served was a regular visitor to these dreams. A few months ago, in a dream, I apparently plucked up my courage and told him to 'piss off' and stop bothering myself and my staff. He hasn't been back.

It's funny what the mind does when it is sorting you out.

ive mentioned it here before, but i love that theory of Phillip Adams, that dreams are just the bowel movements of the mind/sub-conscious
dont mean to be a downer

You mean that I've been mentally constipated for thirty years?

It's no wonder that I feel so much better these days.

I dreamt I was asleep once, but was mistaken, I was actually awake, wishing I was asleep
