Hi Alex, I have not read article that you and Gday are referring to. My knowledge of fractals is from the time when Benoit Mandelbrot’s fractals become popular with users of IBM PC’s, running at neck breaking speed of 4.7MHz. Even in that time there were suggestions that the Universe is fractal.
I believe that no single discovery will solve mysteries of the Universe. It would be just another small step up toward ultimate knowledge. But mankind will not stop until it will reach that knowledge. I wonder what will become of humankind when we know it all. Are we going to become extinct because of boredom?
Big Bang is great as a concept but suffers with many inconsistencies when you inspect this idea closely. Missing background radiation shadow is one of them. But other theories of beginning of Universe suffer from same problems.
