What's better fabric to use?

1. Polar Fleece
2. Cable Knit

I have no idea.

Polar Fleece is far superior to cable knit. It won't lose it's shape/stretch as quick as knit, the embroidery will be neater because it will be on a flatter surface, if it gets wet you just shake it out and put it back on yer noggin.
And it's warmer too.

(I used to make beanies for the Scouts, can you tell?)

If they are the same price though, couldn't you just order the one you prefer? Or would that just create more work.

Thanks JJJ, great info! Polar fleece is also (very marginally, < $1) cheaper than cable knit too.

Polar fleece doesnt stretch like wool knit does it? This might work against a one size fits all scenario.
PF in largest size in black please

Polar fleece would be the go, it's warm, comfortable and dries very quickly when wet. But... I like the look of the cable knit ones better. The polar fleece jobbies look a bit $2 shoppish to me or is it just the way they're presented.....
