hahaha yes i would _love_ an observatory... but unfortunatly i rent where i live, and NSW is just ridicoulous for land prices, specially anywhere within 3 hrs of sydney, and then theres the light pollution!
had a quick playwith it on saturday night. my friend who i drove back to QLD liked the scope aswell... so i might have convinced him to buy one aswell.
Hey great to see you have joined the LX200 club. Now some words of advice.
-Don't drop it, they are very unforgiving.
-Get a dew heater or two, you will need it. Dew shields are good, but fail during the night.
-Get Bobs knobs and collimate your scope. You will be impressed with the results.
-Do the ezi clutch adjustment.
-Buy yourself a blower to clean the corrector plate and also a camel hair brush (I need one of these).
Have a great time most of all. This is a good scope and should last you for years and years. They have a good track record and I hope you enjoy it.
