WOW that's as clear as mud I have read your sentence a dozen times and think it might mean something like this; "If a body appears to be travelling from the Earthly observers viewpoint, from East to West, then the furthest point on the right hand side of the body when the body is at it's most Eastern point is East".

Just wanted to add since my last post I got the phone call I was waiting on and quickly went and picked up my new tripod, it's in two boxes and they said anyone could put it together....huh....they haven't experienced Mr.Break Everything before.

It is raining in Sydney as I write, so I don't have to rush to assemble it, because it won't be seeing any action tonight. There has been 2 observing opportunities in the last 14 days in Sydney by my reckoning.

Yippee I just put the tripod together, what was I so worried about, it looks like it could resist an earthquake of 9.9 on the Richter scale, hopefully I'll never put it to that test.

Now I have to wait for some good Sydney weather, as I type it's pouring down, I only hope it goes into the dam and not just down the street gutters.

The tripod actually cost more than my binoculars, go figure but I am certain I have done the right thing.
