Paul, Happy Birthday.
40Kms is only about 25 mins drive at 100kph.
look for a property with about 1,000 acres, that way you will definately be away from city lights.
Then you can have us all round for viewing nights. LOL

Happy Birthday Adam.

Celebrate with sausages.

Mike.

I know you have been looking to do this for some time Paul.

I am in a similar vote.

We are looking to move out to Jimboomba which is not a really dark site but better then Tingalpa Brisbane....I will have around 1 hours drive to work with only a 5 minute drive ATM.

Decision decissions...I could just stay here.

It'll be a bit longer than 25 min Mike. These roads are definately NOT 100 k/h roads. 40 min if I take the short way and about 40 min if I take the safe way

She feels when I get into astro mode she becomes a bit of a telescope widow. That's ok in moderation, but living just up the road could make it worse

We didn't call in, I didn't see your car anywhere so we kept on going.

Happy birthday guys - congratulations on surviving another year, and best wishes for the year ahead!

I hope your day prospecting for a new dark abode went well Paul.
I must admit I noticed a few months ago how many properties were for sale back along the "scenic road" on the way home from Ron's place, I entertained a few thoughts briefly ......

I don't know how Ron might take too many new neighbours in the area either, maybe that's the question we should be asking?

What do you reckon Ron?

Cheers again Adam, & Cheers again Paul.
