Thanks guys. Looks like not much interest in the August targets - even though Alex picked some really good ones.

Does anyone want to have a go at some targets for September ? Or is everyone over it.

A few suggestions - The Lagoon Neb is high in the sky and there seems to be a few posts of it. Or Omega/Swan Neb - a bit harder. And a globular M5 before it disappears?

Hi Chris,

I've been hanging out to jump on the monthly train but I've really struggled to capture any of the targets so far. I'm not asking them to be swayed to suit small apatures like mine, I'll just await a target I can get and keep trying in the mean time. Not over looking at everyone else's work as inspiration by any stretch of the imagination !

For September, there's a lot of stuff in the milky way band still. Although I guess we've covered those before? M8, M20, M16, M17, M7, M6, Prawn, Lobster, Cat's paw.

Don't forget the often ignored Pavo globular cluster NGC6752. Often overlooked but third in line after Omega C and Tuc47. Speaking of which, Tuc 47 super globular is coming up along with the SMC.

Grab NGC253 The Silver Dollar galaxy if you haven't already along with the Helix nebula NGC7293. If you want a challenge, there's a few galaxies rising in the east to pick off. The Grus quartet is nicely place now, NGC247 another large but fainter galaxy near NGC253. NGC300 is a big faint beauty. Needs lots of time though. NGC55 string of pearls is a nice big edge on galaxy. Go on, go out of your comfort zone.

For a challenge try the Saturn nebula! Cool visual target but hard to image!

Over to the north there is the veil or witch broom nebula, if you can see low enough.
