Great image, Rick. As you say, it's not an easy target. The detail is impressive.

Wandering over from the beginners forum - I can't even imagine how you shoot such a small dim object

That's a nice image Rick. I particularly like the distant galaxies in the top left as you open the image it pops first. The galaxy is really nice, with excellent colour.

Thanks, Chris. It's no different. Maybe just a bit more time spent on the capture and heaps of reprocessing, at least in my case

Ta, Peter. There's a bright star just off to the right. The dusty smudge was apparent in the 2013 data but I thought it might have been a reflection at the time. It also appears in the 2017 data with a different scope and camera, so it's probably not. Could just be some dust illuminated by the star or perhaps something more exotic. I've been discussing it with a friendly professional, so watch this space
