I landed a 3-seater Pelican canoe, an electric trolling motor for it as well as a great Brookstone wine corker from the States and a set of 6 "Brat Pack" CD's (Sinatra, Davis Jr, et al).

Very happy chappy! Now I just have to figure out how to mount the scope in the canoe......

What you'll need is an Argo Navis adaptor.

Me and the Mrs have been very "practical" this year and are holding off on the buying and giving of gifts until the post-Xmas period when (hopefully) prices will be a little more reasonable.

Feels a bit weird, actually. Don't know if we'll be repeating this little experiment again. Xmas morn not the same without the tearing off of wrapping paper.

But we had a nice day with family and friends. Loadsa food and drink and good company. Which is really what it's all about

(or so I'm told)

Well not for Christmas, but for my birthday (also Christmas Day - Hi David) - my wife let me buy the biggest I could get from AOE - a set of 30x100 binoculars. I've had a night from the nightglow-drenched backyard, and a few hours under darker skies - loving them. Had to build my own binocular mount to hold the monsters. Watch the DIY section for evidence.
