Hi there Rob

This is excellent news, and good to hear that your group is growing. I can see some inter club activities happening!!!! We are just about to start the promotional campaign so I will be contacting Jennie very soon. Keep watching this space.

It's looking great, Petra & crew. A very professionally run organisation team. I'm sure it'll be a huge success.

Hi Mike

Many thanks for the comments. We have drawn inspiration from many of the already established events, drawn a great deal of direction and inspiration from yours - plus added our own personal touches, it will be an exciting few days.

I personally am really looking forward to having some "hands on" experience with IIS camp. As for my fellow team members they are the seasoned Star Party experts and its their experience that will make it a great Border Stargaze event. Its all coming together.

Cheers Petra

I hope you spies (not very covert, mind you) got some great information for BSG2007

Turns out I might repay the favour and do some spying of my own! I've almost convinced my wife that we should take a little trip down to Albury Wodonga in August! Maybe take an extra day on top and go and visit the snow fields!

So hopefully i'll be a starter for the event! Looking forward to it.

Great news, Mike. Jack and Noah will be thrilled at the prospect of having some playmates, too!

I will be there with my 10 yr old son Jake. Unfortunately due to double booking him on a Hawkesbury River holiday camp that clashed, he was unable to attend IISAC 2007 at Lostock. He had a ball at IISAC 2006 and recently up at Ilford. He continually reminds me every time I refer to the Pleiades (M45), as "the 7 sisters". Dad, "there are 8 of them not 7". Oh but for young eyes.

I will be taking the 18" Obsession and happy to run nightly sky tours as a representative of the Three Rivers Foundation, as we did at Lostock. www.3rf.org.

I would love to attend Petra, but I think it may be just a tad too far for me.
Lostock was 11 hours drive.
But hey, things may change.

Mike.

Hi Mike

It is a long drive, totally agree with you on that. Lostock was 9 hours for us. However, if things change we would love to see you there - you would be more than welcome.

Cheers Petra
