Ooooo! That looks good. In that case, I'm going to have fun in a few weeks. I've set aside a week of holidays to try my first real (?) astrophotography. I have a little Meade telescope mount, driven on the RA axis (thanks Ken!). I've made up a mount (is that a wedge??) with the correct declination (?) for the SCP. I only have film camera so I was wondering how to ensure I'm SCP aligned? Put my binoculars on the mount and watch for drift?? Nope! So I bought a little webcam. Looked for a CCD version. Picked up the Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 for under $100. I'll just set that up and monitor on laptop screen while it tracks, using its 3x optical zoom to help with sensitivity to drift - I reckon that should allow me to get reasonable alignment - if I've understood all the drift alignment instructions (for dummies) that have been posted recently.
But I'm very tempted to capture some wide field shots with the webcam and also poke it at the eyepieces of my binoculars and telescope and see what I capture.
Please excuse the above if I don't know much of what I'm talking about - but I'll have fun learning!
