Thanks for the encouraging remarks guys. I was in two minds as whether to mention my health on the IIS forum.
Treatment/surgery so far has seen some good outcomes and some not so optimal.
This was totally out of left field for me, hence am still coming to grips with it all.
Being a dumb bloke, one tends to dismiss symptoms and not get them checked out....plus I thought my annual aviation medicals would pick up anything serious. Nup!!
So a word of caution....next time you see the Doc, mention even the dumb stuff, the symptoms you might of thought not worthy of mentioning. Could save you a world of hurt.

Sorry to hear about your health, and I wish you a full and speedy recovery! My wife, only 28 years old, also got diagnosed with cancer a mere couple of weeks after the birth of our first child. Thankfully hers was caught very early and a couple of quick operations seems to have sorted it all out. I second your recommendation to always mention the dumb stuff, you never know when it might save your life.
