Wonderful image Greg.
It's great when optics and seeing conditions occasionally cooperate with each other.

Being really picky, there are some minor processing artifacts (dark doughnuts) a little too red. and a smidge of 2-8 o'clock elongation in the stellar profiles.
But what a wonderfully smooth background....( something I find near impossible from my urban location) and top shelf resolution, that I firmly believe you just can't get at 1100mm or so.
A great image that no doubt many will refer to as a top shelf example.
Nice one

Interesting you brought that up Mike; check that bright blue star in the bottom left in both images - it really shows the degree of improvement IMO.

Thanks Ray. Now to replicate it on other objects. Life is easier though on the brighter objects.

It could be an interesting experiment to combine data from both images; the recent very sharp subs and the former ones. Integration could be weighted by FWHM and the sharpest sub with the lowest FWHM could be set as a reference. Just putting it out there

Yes I could do that. It might add colour depth mainly. I also have mega hours of Honders/ML16 of the Sculptor. The luminance wouldn't be as detailed but the colour would add something. So I'll be revisiting this one a bit later with more data added. I also have a lot of Trius 694/Honders NGC253. Not sure if the tracking was good enough though.
Greg.
