I've been kind of referring to my new 12" dob as Dob 2.0 (pronounced "two point zero") but I must admit that "StarCannon" has kind of wandered through my mind as well .......

For the record Ving I have a black and white staffie cross - her coat is patterned very much like a Fresian cow - and her name is simply "Moo"

(No, I didn't name her, but it kind of suits her - she's very gentle, feminine, and placid)

My Dob is called the Bazooka, and the ED80 is called the ED80. Hmmm, I will have to give the ED a name methinks. How about Edie Atey!

Vingo, how about calling yours the Vingerator.

Hi Ving,

You could allways call it "MY 10 INCHER",
If nothing else,It would raise a few eyebrows.

I own a 3 Inch ED 80.

Nuff said.

Regards.John

If I could subtantiate the claim I'd call mine Cloudburner. Unfortunately I cannot. Damn shame that. I have though thought of calling it Rainmaker but that too is still unproven. So, unfortunately (for the time being at any rate), it's called Teaser.

I call my ultra-portable 8" f/4 truss dob Little Hubble. I had no inclination to name any of my other 3 scopes, but then I'm not the father.

PS. You cannot have Little Hubble! ie, the name. But you could start taking photos in IR and call Little Spitzer... does not quite have the same ring though...

In the great Aussie tradition you simply take part of its name and add "o" to the end of it. Newto?
