A splendid image M&T
Thanks Suavi. They seem systematically different to the nebulae near here - most particularly there are regions with very strong OIII emission and immediately adjacent regions with very strong H-alpha emission, producing strongly saturated images.

We're hoping that Thursday night might be clear for SII.

Some great detail there, M&T! Looking forward to see what some Sii adds to the mix.

Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks, Rick.

We managed 8 hours of 2x2 binned SII, and sadly there was very little of it, and it added little of interest. We had clear skies last night, but after the SII disappointment, we stayed inside and sulked.

Sometimes a good sulk reboots the mother board and recharges the imaging batteries

Well that is good to know for others aiming at this area, don't bother with the Sii. I am wondering what will show up in RGB that could be blended with the significant Oiii and Ha.
