Lovely image. You weren't too far away from the area I've been working on in Monoceros. I like the colours and contrast of the dark dust lanes.

Thanks, Marcus! You should have seen the original stars The KAF-8300 microlenses combine with a short/fast scope seems to be a recipe for bloat.

corker image Rick. the colour is great and detail good - the composition is also a significant contributor to the overall effect. very nice work.

NGC 2170 is a faint bugger, nicely done on the colour too.

Agree, a very colourful part of sky there for sure. Great imaging & processing reminds me of Rho-ophiuchus a lot.

I do intend to run another PI workshop up here this year. There are several people that missed the first intro workshop and it would be good to do a more advanced workshop too. I'll have to give some thought to the timing.

The big thing I learned from the workshop I gave at NACAA at Easter is that one day is really not long enough. Two days is more realistic for a detailed intro with lots of prac work. Ideally followed by another day of more advanced topics...
