Or am I missing something profound here

Thanks again Mike. As far as I know, it's all down to seeing and scale. Seeing here is occasionally better than the 2 arcsec design assumption, so I was thinking of going up to about a 1.2m fl scope with the H694 - which will give about 0.75arcsec/pixel (ie identical performance to a 2.4mfl scope on a CCD with 9micron pixels).

Its on my list of imaging targets once I get my camera sorted again.

Well done Ray.
thanks very much Paul. Yep, I like the tidal structures as well. Sorry to hear that you are having camera problems - a real pain.

For capture through to processing this is an excellent result. "Well done!" is simply not enough!

Hi Ray,

Wonderful image and super colour!

You beat me to it! I've got about 12 hrs luminance and 12 hours RGB to process. Unfortunately I messed up the calibration frames and now find myself on an extended trip unable to work. Oh well, one day. You've set the bar really high. Bravo.

Peter
