Thanks again Mike. As far as I know, it's all down to seeing and scale. Seeing here is occasionally better than the 2 arcsec design assumption, so I was thinking of going up to about a 1.2m fl scope with the H694 - which will give about 0.75arcsec/pixel (ie identical performance to a 2.4mfl scope on a CCD with 9micron pixels).
