Can't afford a new one.

The longest lasting so far appear to be my speakers (Rogers Ls3/5a) which are close to 25 years old. Next a Samsung fridge, circa 12 years old. We recently replaced a Miele dishwasher, which made it to just 8.5 years. Our Sony Bravia TV just turned 8 and is still doing fine (with one panel replacement under warranty).

my mum has a westinghouse upright freezer that would be now pushing 35 years old. Oldest thing i have is probably my 40inch samsung 1080p LED tv. Had it nearly 8 years and still works great. Or maybe my astronomy laptop which is a toshiba is now pushing 10+ years. screen is bit wrecked and stuff but unstoppable. I'll be very sad the day it dies.
I believe in spending a bit more on quality as my dad had a saying that I always follow, you buy s#@t you get s#@t...

Its own dedicated webcam will probably die before it does :-)

Our Whirlpool washing machine is 15yrs still going strong, bought from 'The Good Guy's' Discounted 2nd (2/3rds the retail price) as it has a dent a couple mm dep & size of a 50c piece on the side, and had some scratches on the back plate cover, dont see either !

Have replace the Dog Clips on the Agitator myself about 3 yr ago, parts $9, and regreased the friction plate with wheel bearing grease then & in its 1st yr !

I had a gorenje washing machine. Bought in 1991 and it is still running in good order!
The only part that was replaces was the front loading door and had the water pump serviced once.
Bought an electrolux while waiting for the door to come. Nowit is sitting in The garage as a spare.
The Gorenje is much better. When it spins, the motor purrs like a jet engine and less vibration and the clothes are much dryer. The Lux is good but the Gorenje is better.
Seems it is make in an Eastern Euro country, Czech perhaps?

Got a Compaq Contura 486 laptop from c1994 that is still in weekly use at work - its only job is to provide a serial interface to a CNC machine.

Its a hostile environment - they get dropped, covered in dust, swarf and oil, dirty keys and high temperatures - in the last week internal temperatures have been over 40C

Thought about replacing it many times - but it just keeps working !
