Geez, that would be hard for Greg to Police!

If someone wanted a cheap sub all they would have to do is join IIS and never post.

Yeah what the hell?! For some reason Sky and Space are nearly always late with there publications, well at least for the last year since it was branded the "new" S&S. I think the old S&S was better, personally.

Yes, fair point, Ken.

After pondering overnight I've decided to go ahead today and arrange two subscriptions to A.S.&T.

The mag. does after all support this forum as a sponsor and as such I think I was being a little greedy in my earlier comments.

Sorry, Mr Bryant, subs are about to be booked and paid.

*edit* Done.

sky and space for me as they support the amateur a lot better than the others.
I find the magazine worth the money on this issue alone!

I'm happy to pay $11.50 for a high quality Magazine...it's the price of a few coffees.... I bought, and have been reading, the October 2006 Astronomy magazine. Worth every cent IMHO.

The first Astro mag I ever bought was S&Space and so they got my subscription, I went on to win another sub as Astrofest this year.
I've always bought Sky and Telescope as well but haven't subscribed yet. If IIS members are eligable for subsidised subs, I'd be in on it. I don't belong to any formal astro society because they are all toooo far away to attend meetings. This is the beauty of IIS, bringing us loners together.
If one of the Yank astro mags has any interesting articles, or I just need a fix, I'll buy that as well.
I went to the Lifeline Book Fest at Caboolture the other weekend and picked up some beaut astronomy books. Two are by Patrick Moore- The Story of Astronomy and New Guide to the Planets. As well as 5 books of the series Voyage Through the Universe, Astronomy Today and Book of the Universe. All for between 50c and $2 each. Value!

I was subscribed to S&S, but haven't renewed it since it ran out. I subscribed to AS&T for 2 years when it was monthly, so now I have a 4 year subscription!!
