If you already have a wireless xbox360 controller then I'd recommend getting the wireless adapter for your PC, that's what I use and it's great. The official MS one seems a bit pricey (I didn't think I paid that much for it?) but there seem to be cheap ones on eBay etc - one of those might be worth a punt for ~$15.

Seeing this weekend looks like a write off for me up here, I'll put together a little video showing what I have done and how it works with EQMod. If you happen to have a PS4 controller handy/free, use a program called "DS4" which will have the drivers needed and enable you to fully control the controller.
