Hi Greg,

There is no lock mode on the MEII. The 2 way switch is either engaged or not engaged (i.e., balance). And all I can say is it better be balanced!!

The mount is locked only by placing long bolts into specially placed holes in both RA and DEC.

Thanks Peter. Yes that is what I mean, if its really badly out of balance ie. when you first mount the Alluna with no camera on it you'd want to be real careful not to unengaged it before loading it up with the camera gear and then go to balancing it.

The AP1600 is kind of stiff in both axes (by design) even with the clutches open so its not an issue.

Not a problem, but something to be aware of to avoid a costly accident.

Greg.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Bisque also make it very clear to have things
in reasonably balanced state prior to removing the locking bolts or gear dis-engagement.

So far so good.

The mount has my Honders and AP155 with a side-by-side saddle. (hence the massive counterweights) . The Alluna will probably weigh a tad less.

More eye-candy attached

Peter,

What is the gear on the top end of the AP155? Mount looks happy with the load!

Award winning, twin 90mm, H-Alpha Etalons.

P.S.
Suffice to say, a stopped-down AP155, operating as a monochromatic lens, is probably something of a crime !

No! The crime would be if you didn't use the scope and it sat in a box!!
