I downloaded it and looked at it in Irfanview to see the whole vista.
It's a very good mosaic Rex, and as everyone is saying, the background is a bit washed out with the cyan. There is a lot that comes out when the contrast is improved too.
All up: really nice photo.

Trevor

Thank you Jason, I won't lie it was a slog, and several times I almost gave up on it, but am glad I persevered.

Thanks Rob, I am definitely going to revisit this, but will probably wait until I get my new monitor, all going well that will be next month. I tried to adjust the cyan/green tonight and on this monitor it looks totally out of wack so I would be guessing as to where to leave it. Hopefully the new monitor which is supposed to be factory calibrated to within pretty tight specs I will be able to get the colours right first go. Until then I will relay on you guys to tell me. lol.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback and advice, I realize this is probably still not perfect as on my monitor it now looks very red, but I think it is a step in the right direction, not so blue/green. Let me know how I did at guessing lol. Thanks again for looking. Updated version in the first post.

The color balance brings up the blues nicely now.

Amazing dedication Rex and an awesome image to show for it. Shows what is possible with reasonably modest gear if you dedicate time to capturing great data.

Thanks Peter. I have been planning this one since last year. I simply love this object but new I would need a fair amount of data to get anything reasonable with my gear so I just kept pumping out the data in July till the sky told me to stop. Then I roughly stacked it and realised I would need much more data, so I switched to 10min subs for august. Same thing, just kept pumping it untill the cloudstold me to stop.
