Hi Steffen,

No, they can't do that as Lars is using a basic longbow. Modern compound and recurve bows are all either right handed or left handed, with the hand grip and arrow rests made for the appropriate handedness.

The expert recommendation I have read is that if one is left-eyed and right handed, to go and buy a left handed bow and practice using it left handed, and vice versa. Apparently eye dominance is the more important factor for archery.

Some archer's have been critical of many of the claims in Lars' video (though not of his skill).

For your entertainment, here is another video about another super archer.

Hi Steffen,

That's incredible !

My daughter got into archery for a year or so, learned the stationary method.

This looks much more interesting. I would like to know his success rate (arrows fired to arrows on target).

I am all over the place,
Test shows I am right eye dominant, however

Write left handed, can manage child like scrawl with right
Use right eye for scope, no idea which hand I use for focusing, just do it, probably either/both
Kick a football left foot
Tennis racket held with left hand, useless with right
Cricket bat held with right hand, useless with left
Throw a tennis ball left hand, useless with right
Golf, left hand, useless with right
Shoot gun with right hand but can do well with left
DSLR Camera with viewfinder goes to right eye
With archery I'd hold the bow in the left hand (is that left or right?) but I think I could manage right as well
Watch TV with both

After extensive self testing I am confident my right eye performs a little better than the left. Certain colours are a tad darker using left eye compared to the right. They are not balanced.

You are not alone. I feel your pain, sorry.
I have them in both eyes. I tend to mostly be annoyed by them when wearing my glasses or staring at this monitor with white background.
