Very witty, Solitarian! I've never eaten poptarts - the ads were too american.

My diet probably isnt too bad. Most dinners are cooked at home and lunch is sandwiches, various fillings. Not a big concern but I have started to consider my health and how to maintain it.

I certainly don't care to waste money unnecessarily.

Having variety in the diet is the way to go. And I have reduced the meat portions in dinners and bumped up the vegetables. Still satisfying and tasteful.

From a tv ad: we are overfed but undernourished.

Probably an apt generalisation.

I have only taken Vitamin tablets for a few days about.20 years ago,Vitamin B I think they were.P***** Bright yellow
So chucked them in the bin.
I am 72 years old man,, I see a doctor about once a year on average,I can still push a mower over an acre,*no ride on* with long grass even with my gammy knee.
So as far as I am concerned I don't need them.
Have no problem walking 12kms and as far as I can see am in good health.
A bit of middle age spread which is on it's way down
But still enjoy a beer and a good meal.
That Pan Pharmaceuticals fiasco of about 10 or more years, just showed what crap people were putting in their bodies, and paying big money for what amounted to Junk.
Cheers

I think Ron nailed it for the most part. See your doctor at least once a year and stay as active as possible. If you have any concerns about your health get them checked out straight away - don't ignore the warning signs. Mind you, the warning signs may also turn out to be nothing, but you won't know unless you get it checked out.

I have just turned 50, and considering what has gone on with Mrs Fly (Louise) over the past year and a bit I have adopted this philosophy.

So that pee colour seems to be a good indicator that the body already is getting enough nutrients.

Not necessarily, it means you are getting too much at one time for your body to handle.

Most people with even just a reasonable diet do not need to supplement it.

You may need extra if you're stressing your body in some way in which case you need to be selective with any supplements.

You also need to be careful if you are taking extra supplements like Vit A or E which are fat soluable and can therefore build up in your system and become toxic.
