I got some money in an envelope + some chocolate, but they didn't really change my view of Christmas, which doesn't have anything to do with getting presents...
The chocolate was just too good, 400 grams, and it's almost completely gone. I just can't resist those Lindt chocolate balls. Not good for my waist!

Clothes, chocolates and some shortbread biscuits. No astro goodies, probably just as well as I have far too much already....

My wife gave me an Astronomik UHC filter (2 inch) - looking forward to using it next new moon. Also received a new tennis racquet, a ticket to the World Cup cricket and lots of chocolate!

No astro gear.
book "the quantum universe" by Brian Cox & Jeff Forshaw.
I did get a clear night last night though. So ended up with a rather nice spider even if the contrast was rather poor.

I got an nFocus unit for the dob and a QHY5P-II C planetary camera. Now all I need are some clear skies.

My son gave me 60 minutes flying time on a 737 simulator - get to fly around and take off and land at two airports. I will need to dust off FSX and practice before I go

Don't be too upset

You may have done yourself a favour. Keep an eye out on the ice in space ads right here on the forum.

Second hand gear at a great price is always coming up. You'll get a better scope for much less money. Check them out over the next week or so and see what I mean.

Good luck
