Don't suppose you guys know the internal and external diameter of the pipe part of the Skywatcher EQ6 half pier? I'm wondering if there is a standard steel pipe that could substitute. My idea is to just weld a short piece of this to the top of a larger pier and drill the required three attachment holes. Then the Skywatcher adapter could be bolted on.

I thought I posted this....
I have the 200mm extension fitted to the top of my 150mm pier.
I think it is a 3 1/2" schedule 40 steel pipe, 100mm OD wall 5.7mm
The interior weld line is machined away at either end (grinding job?)
