Well, the saga came to an end today - got a collect card in the mail box. Apparently, raising an issue and mentioning the words MAIL THEFT rattled a few cages and it was miraculously found. Post office clerk didn't understand it - clearly addressed and in an AusPost bag too. WEIRD - I feel there was a degree of incompetence from the postie (marked it on his computer as delivered when he perhaps meant carded) or something was fishy.
