Point proven... What comes out of the exhaust? It sure aint violets.

We are addicted to exponential growth and that's why this wont stop. Go back a century and people didn't generally fly half way around the world for a holiday, wedding, or whatever else yet I know people who think this is completely normal. Are we nuts?

Everyone keeps crapping on about sustainable growth. Reality check: Its a mathematical impossibility; yet so easy to participate in because the consequences wont impact on our generation.... or so we think

Less risk of being eaten by a large animal.
Easier to find an ATM (the money kind).
Insurance companies and actuaries can spread the risk.
Telescopes from China. Etc etc

Sure there is a downside, and we may wind up with the environment depicted in Blade Runner but a large and growing population drives one important human development factor:

Getting off this planet and spreading out beyond this solar system, only this will ensure the survival of humanity.

Sad but true.
For more on babies overpopulation have a look at Dr Hans Rosling series of TED talks. Not the lies that are fed by governments around the world just the real stats.
