Dave,

I have too many scopes, but fortunately not as many mounts.
My default mount for my Edge C8 is an ATZ mount.

You must not have the HAL130 tripod then - at full extension, the darned thing towers over me... with an f/9 scope on top. I insist on using it like that too - legs are about 1 metres apart, Very stable. In fact, at lowest point, the tripod is very stable.

It SEEMS taller than I remember the Skywatchers to go, but I don't have one to compare it to.
