I like using the freeware Spybot Search and Destroy. In its Immunisation feature, it puts tens of thousands of protections against Malware/Spyware into your Browsers. And does a pretty good job of cleaning up some Malware, but usually one needs to run several such programs top get them all (though you have to make sure that real time protection is switched off, else they conflict).

Brian, a good source of ant-malware and many other programmes is www.majorgeeks.com. The keep their files up to date and it just means you don't have to search the web for something: just go to MG and they often have what you need. They have links to the authors' site from the software download page if u feel inclined to visit.
Bookmark them, it's a handy link and they don't use those bloody downloader programmes that other software sites use.

Its great to see there is so much 'Artillery' available to fight the bloody scammers and the likes , thanks to every one that piped in on my thread .
I hope others get to use the information shared here and keep up the fight , thank you all again .
