Exactly, pretty scary prospect. The only way to do it IMO was to trash your night vision and use a torch when placing the screwdriver.

My feathertouch arrived today. Lovely and smooth feeling even using the 1:1 knob. Looking forward to getting it out under the stars.

Unfortunately I will be limited in how far I can rotate the diagonal, but I can live with that.

Yes I have one of these sweet FT focusers on my C9.25 as well and I find its operation excellent , only 5 miniutes to install and even at the 10/1 reduction my scope has ZERO mirror flop , so easy to acheave perfect focus , nice bit of kit that compliments the CAT very well .

Mine has excellent optics and deserves the best . .

Brian.

I am quite happy with mine optically too. Which is only making the demount/remount versus sell the lot and start again debate that much harder. I am getting to the point where with the goodies mine has collected I am seriously thinking again of demounting it and buying an AZEQ6 to mount it on. On a pier plate at home and tripod elsewhere.

Took the scope outside tonight to prove I can still achieve focus with the feathertouch on. Success. Lovely and smooth though there it still a tiny bit of mirror flop.

Did not stay out though, horrible hazy sky but I wanted to know it was good as I hope to go up to Mount Burnett observatory tomorrow night and will take it if the weather looks promising.
