Is there any evidence at all that he was racing? I'm sure I read in the paper that it wasn't a result of speed.

Please remain respectful regardless of your personal opinions on the topic.

Perhaps the thread title should read: " Fast & Furious Star and friend die in car crash "

May they rest in Peace !

I saw a bit of video footage shot from a surv camera. It is on utube. They hit hard and very fast.

It is sad but get over it.

The public roads are no place to test out very fast cars. Do it on a race track.

Judging by the shock wave they were doing at least 180k if not more.

The final state of the wreckage isn't a true indication of the accident itself since the fire department will have had to cut it open to get the bodies out, plus the explosion after impact will have caused additional damage.

I found the Fast & Furious series watchable, and Paul Walker's acting ability rather limited. However, I didn't know about his charity work until a few days ago, so regardless of how he died, it sounds like he gave more to the world than he took from it, and therefore his death is a real loss to many people, not least of whom is his 15-year-old daughter.

Two Semi Drivers where killed today and one seriously injured in a vicious pile up in Victoria, they were going about their working business, I don't see anyone here mourning their passing.
Sorry but it looks like they were living out the movie, and they paid for it big time.
Cheers
