I picked up on it watching it the second time.

When Tom Baker walks in, , Matt Smith is contemplating becoming a curator - where Tom Baker Enters and says

"you will"

Matt Smith then says "I never forget a face"

To which Tom Baker replies that he does re-visit some old favourites.

Tom Baker is the future Dr Who in that episode, and he prompts Matt Smith to restore Gallifrey. Freezing Gallifrey in a moment of time apparently worked.

He is the same Dr but from the future. Sort of like during the movie how the forst Dr recognises a problem, sets the thought in motion, and the next two Doctors suddenly know the answers. Rather paradoxical.

Nope, I can't follow any of these modern doctors. For some unknown reason I keep watching, but if you were to ask what the episode was about, I wouldn't have a clue!

Early onset of alzheimers no doubt.

Who said it had to make any sense? I don't care if I cannot always follow it, it is still lots of fun.
