If astro fotos are are possibility and I can not see how with your background you will not be draw to this aspect of the sport start looking at mounts first.. even your current scope on a good mount will produce exciting results but the best scope on a bad mount is worse than useless it is a total frustration. Start pricing mounts as well as scopes is the advise I respectfully offer to you.
