One wire to the stepper is in the same position for both directions as is the ground, and I've found a 3 pole 4 position rotary switch in the junk box. So I only have to switch 3 wires. Just have to nut out the wiring positions. But, my brain hurts from all this thinking and I've given it a rest for now
