Thanks Bob LOL.. yes, it can get cold. Thankfully, last weekend was still quite warm with the current "autumnal heatwave" I keep hearing about on the radio. It was around 10 degrees that morning - so crisp, but nice

Great shot, you've captured the lighting nicely.

Thanks so much Mike, Matt and Roger.

Matt - what are you getting now in Jindabine? I'm yet to get down to my place outside of Cooma this year, but when I do I'll be taking a woolly jumper, that's for sure.

We had -6C the other morning, snowed on the hills all night, enough to ski XC at Charlotte's or downhill at Perisher, they have a T-bar operating already.

That's really not a good enough excuse Roger, I got hit by an out of control beginner skier in 2011, broke 3 ribs, punctured my lung and cracked my ankle and I was back skiing within 5 weeks! (albeit very gingerly !!!)

Wow, that's quite an impressive list of injuries! I'm glad you're still with us! and I'm glad it wasn't me that ran into you (not a beginner but still somewhat out of control now and then )

My ankle was only broken Saturday just gone (not skiing, taking astrophoto's!) so give it another week or two ... not a bad break, if there's such a thing

All of your RX1 images are thick with atmosphere -nature/city/colour/B&W. How you get such diverse feel with the same camera is incredible.

Just read up on the RX1 for the first time, a very impressive bit of kit that in the right hands obviously gives great results. Now be a dear and post a bigger file!!!

Thanks Geoff & Matt Yes, the RX1 is an instant classic camera. Between it and the OM-D I have no desire, whatsoever, to own a "full-sized" DSLR any more. There's no need, and in fact they're hindrance to me and my style of shooting. My third camera, and it's also brilliant, is a Sony RX100 which stays permanently in my glovebox.

The RX1 does look like a very nice camera. I often dream of having a camera like it or the Fuji X-Pro1. Simplicity and elegenace.
