Now that's a slightly different question. From Sydney it is theoretically possible to see objects at 55°N.
If by useful you mean objects have to get to a reasonable altitude - say 10° - then you could start at chart 17 and that gets you to ~45°N.
If you wanted make it higher then maybe chart 37 which will take you to ~20°N.
If you were going to start at chart 3 you might as well print the whole thing.

I printed it off, A4 is quite usable

Hi Jo, do you find A4 is hard to read?
Yes, I found difficulties in finding A3 folder and slip in.
