OK, I didn't get out that way. The highlights of my visit were the shops, the medical centre and he eye specialist. I did notice, however, that for a place of its size Mildura has a huge number of sporting facilities.
We went to a park close to town where there were a dozen netball courts and down by he river there are a large number of tennis courts - grass courts too! I think there are more grass courts there than here and we're at least 5 times the size.
I looked on google street view and I see what you mean about light, there are street lights nearby. We visited the Botanic Garden and that looks like a good area but I think there is a gate that is closed at night.
Oh wow!! I just looked down to the sw of town and found an airfield. There is a photo on streetview that shows that belongs to the Sunraysia Gliders Club and right next to that sign is a sign for the Oasis Stargazer Club Mildura. Do you know about them??
