Graham, I think SB is sending out a new Dec motor, so, yes, there is a resolution.

PMX issues

fair enough!

Last night got a torch and just looked down the versa plate- there is a cable which is pinched enough to split the black covering so I hope this is the issue- will take it off tonight and see.

Is this one of your cables or a cable to do with the mount?

I didn't end up using the through the mount cabling option.
Perhaps it was a good idea not to!

Greg.

Sounds like it might be a manufacturing mistake. I've run 4 cables inside my mount without any problems at all.

Well chaps -got a reply from SB and instructions on checking my electronics box- so I took that out and guess what?- The DEC motor cable had become unplugged. Plugged it back in and hey presto- mount now has two beeps on start up and homes with the joystick.
Hooray!!
Thanks for everyones help
Now to get it all back on pier and scoped up again!
Cheers

It took two months for someone over there to suggest checking the connections?

I feel bad about that and I'm not even involved.

Awesome.

Any idea why it became unplugged? That thread on SB site for that other guy who was having trouble implied his was caught and it got pulled out when it slewed too far.
