Wasn't going to bleat about sat for the first one, but love the 2nd rendition Peter
Thought I may have had to whinge how you had got new data until realised M27 isn't too accessible right now. Good to have plenty of data in the AF vault for cloudy weather for sure.

That's a lot better Peter. It usually needs a few iterations to get it just right. Well done.

I love both renditions.
The second is more pleasing colour wise, but it seems to have eaten some of that lovely faint blue nebulosity from around the outside.
But it's all about compromise isnt it.

Very solid rendition of this famous piece of weight training equipment Peter a big Heck, a mere decade ago this would have been one of the top Dumbbell images around.

Cheers Rob, It sure has been a while since we had some clear nights but it is good to spend some time learning how to process again.

Thanks Allan - need to check some reference images before posting in future - it is too easy to under/over process and only realise it when you come back to it after 24 hours.

Cheers JJJ - I did notice the outer nebulosity faded away - will have to go back and see if I can get the sat without losing the faint stuff.

Thanks Mike - it really is amazing what you can do with amateur gear and how quickly the technology is advancing.
