I have ordered a Belt Mod Kit from Rowan Astronomy. I will keep people informed as I perform the upgrade. The total cost at the time was $163.72 including postage.

Thanks to those who have joined the Yahoo HEQ5EquatorialMount group. Numbers have swelled to 7, but always more are welcome. There are an increasing number of links available on the group site. Any other links people would think to be useful for HEQ5 mounts are also welcome.

I have also installed the belts from Rowan Astronomy on my HEQ5 and noticed the mount being much quieter.
