My house is 0.29 according to VIRS 2017. ATLAS 2015 gives me 21.88 SQM. I also travel 1.5 - 1.75hrs each way to work though so the dark skies cost me...

Just got fixed wireless NBN a few months ago which is good enough for me. We're on a "unlimited data", 25mbps/5mbps plan and I get about that every time I've tested it.

Home - off the Bortle scale shocking.
Family property in QLD - so dark Bortle doesn't register. With no moon, you honestly feel like you are swimming in dark.

Previous home (Milton in Brisbane) - 49.40
Current home (Paddington) - 21.82
New home (from Jan 2018)-below 1.80, may be as low as around 0.30 (depends where we will settle initially). Happy days!

Ok, just checked the ASV darksite reading as .14. Being only .01 worse than my new place, i'd say the readings are not quite right

+1 for relying on the SQM, which is 20.9 on a good night at my obs. Bretti reaches 21.7 -21.8. However, the SQM, being so sensitive, can actually produce lower reading because of the overhead Milky Way light pollution. I kid you not, at certain times of the year, SQM readings can be affected by the Milky Way.

My house is 10 using VIIRS 2017 or 11 using VIIRS 2016 or 19.91mag /arcsec^2 using Atlas 2015. For a site on the southern highlands it's 0.33, 0.15, 21.75. For my mates place at Bungonia it's 0.16, 0.00, 21.93. Of course I aspire to a 22.00 site at >1000m with no wind or jetstream. Ohh ... and not too cold.
