Hi John, Good points there, I've never really found it an issue, possibly because I only use the Telrad during initial alignment with the Argo Navis, do a quick run with the TPAS and after that rely solely on the Argo Navis. Consequently after initial set up my eye orientation does not really change too much. But I can certainly see your point. I find the drying out to be the biggest negative with lenses, hence the blink and clean in my pocket where it stays nice and warm.
I should add that one reason I like the Vixen LVW eyepieces is that the long eye relief gives me the option of wearing glasses without compromising the views.
