Woohoo, great to see you back again, buddy.
I either purchased it off you or got you to modify my 40D for me back in the day.
Sink your money into a CCD this time and forego the DSLR straight up. You know what you're capable of.

Welcome back,
I remember reading all the forum posts when I first got involved, and many of them were yours !
They were what inspired and motivated me.

Welcome Back!!
Wow, 7 years. Those were the days though. The first wave of DSLR imaging. Technology has evolved so much since then, as well as this forum.
Enjoy the new learning curve.

If you go back through your old forum posts Eric you can recover the low res ones at least. Better than nothing.
Like this one of M20 you posted back in 2008. Still a great image! http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=29615
No need to hate coma anymore. The latest generation of coma correctors fix that, especially the Baader MKIII.
Have light pollution? No problem! Shoot straight through it in narrow band!
The amateur astronomy world has changed greatly in 7 years.

Baader MKIII? all these new toys! I think I had the MKII and that works wonders for F4 scopes. Yep, I have all my low res images but none hi-res. Wanted to make some canvas print .... might have to start from scratch again....

Probably something still budget .. looking at a possible GSO RC 6" or 8" setup with goto EQ5. Camera I don't think I can afford a CCD so might revent to a modified DSLR. (sorry H.)
