Interesting article....some of the comments are reasonably well thought out, but a few of them are just puerile dribble. Most people should stick to what they know...which seems to be very little nowadays.

Trying to explain even relatively simple physics concepts to some people is like talking to a brick wall. They have little interest in science and then have the hide to mistrust science, and scientists!!!. Ignorance is not bliss. It can be downright dangerous in some cases, but in most, it just makes those people who make inane comments look like fools.

Don't try and take it all in one go. Read what you can understand at first, absorb that, then if you have any questions just ask. Go grab yourself some good books on the subject.
