Can fit on the back of ute?
Wot sort of weather protection does it need?

I think it would fit on a ute.
I'm not sure what other requirements there are - Andrew, Gary or John should be able to let you know.

To all you lucky people going to IISAC, have a great time and stay safe.
Hopefully I'll be able to to join everyone next time and meet the people that make up this great community.
May your skies be clear and your images perfect.
Cheers

Every forecast I look at is different.
Thursday looks to be ok, clearing after an early shower. And Friday shows a thunderstorm in the afternoon. So thursday night *should* (?) be clear?
Friday, maybe it'll clear after the storm.
Saturday, too early to tell.

Oh good Dave, I look forward to meeting Mrs Hough.
Maybe now you will return all the telescopes and gear you told her that 'belong' to me.

C'mon clear skies. I'll be happy if I get at least one nights worth of clear skies at Lostock.
Hope the weather forecasts are wrong.
Looking forward to meeting everyone up there.

Sorry to hear about Andrew Murrell.....hope you get better soon, mate.
And there was I hoping I could hide in the shadow of the 25" Obsession...if it isn't coming the Mary Rose will stick out like a sore thumb (not that I mind sharing....much).
See you all there on Friday. I am sure the weather will be picture-perfect.

Thanks to some speedy work by Quasar Astronomy, i'll have copies of the Astronomy 2009 Yearbook for sale at IISAC.
If you've already ordered your copy, you can pick it up at IISAC.
If you haven't ordered yet, you're welcome to simply buy them at IISAC.
Cheers

Well I don't understand all the stuff on those weathr pages, but it doesn't look real good out my window atm , but I don't care - it will be great to meet everyone and put some faces to the names.
Now I have to go do some serious car mods - Bike racks off, roof boot on
then pack all my gear in.
See you all in a bit over 24 hours

I'm still not sure if I'll make IISAC, but if I do I look forward to saying g'day Alex.
Have a safe trip.

Sorry, the warranty was up as soon as I drove out the driveway.
Maybe you do need a new motor.

Hi All
hopalong here
Just with the transport of the 25" scope. It will fit in the back of a ute. but the poles and ladder will be longer than the tray area and will have to stick out the back. With the weather it will require coverage so a van would be best. Once the scope is on site Gary and John will look after the scope as representitives of 3RF. I will give the scope accessories to Gary K.
Clear Skies
Andrew
