Hope things are OK with the peepers nightstalker. I had one about 2" dia come up from a truck wheel, only thing that saved my eyes was my spectacles. Best of luck.

Graham,

You should try and read their writing lol, good to hear the peepers have
recovered.

Apart from the jet stream she is looking pretty good out this way tonight.
Scope is out and cooling down.

Side Walk astronomy night will be a family affair for me, I'll have both my
sons with me. Hope you can make it.

Enjoy your skies everybody

regards,CS

Another beaut night, was out until 1am this monring. Adding a light shroud
to the scope has made a heap of difference. Due to the design the
secondary mirror was right in the path of being breathed on. I only used
the hair dryer 2-3 times all night.

Alex, would be great if you can make it. We'll be on the footpath outside
Bi-Lo so probably wont need advertising as the foot traffic should be ok.

I did some observing Monday night, started with all the nebulae I could think off, then the PN, using a new 21mm Stratus EP and UHC filter. After that I did galaxies and clusters.

There is a good observing spot on a hill in a pine forest about 56km south of Casino. The trees are still small, might try it some time. I noticed it on Sunday when I drove back from Sydney.

Looking good for tonight again No jet stream too

There are a couple of good looking spots down that way Glen. If I get the
chance I'm going to try my mates property down towards Main Camp this
weekend. He's about 10 kms south along the highway from me and a few
kms off the highway. From memory you cant see the glow of Casino from
there, been wanting to try his spot for a while now.
