Will be getting everything i need either washed or packed during the week. All gear almost ready to go. 1 or 2 things im waiting on.

On Thursday the 8th of August. Phil Plait is giving a free lecture down on the Gold Coast.
I'm seriously thinking of booking a seat (its free) and driving down to attend. Is anyone else interested in going too?
It means missing out on one afternoon and evening of Astrofest, but it will be worth it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the talk he gave in May.

The lecture is from 6 - 7.30pm. So we'd have to leave some time after 3pm and we'd be back at camp well before midnight.

Joshy, I just realised, I'm going to be in my campervan at AF, and I'd have to pull down my annex and pack away everything to do the drive down.
So unless someone else is going to offer to drive down in their car, it's going to be a no go. sorry.

Hard to believe that this time next week I'll be at Astrofest with everything setup in excited anticipation for the first night well I mean first clear night
